CONFERENCE AGENDA RELEASED FOR SMA LAUNCH EVENT

This week the MTC will host representatives from across the digital manufacturing industry for the official launch of the Smart Manufacturing Accelerator (SMA) and Factory in a Box (FIAB) demonstrator.

The event, which takes place on Wednesday (13 March), will welcome industry thought-leaders, academia, partners and stakeholders and will provide an unrivalled opportunity to experience the innovative implementation of industrial digital technologies.

Professor Ken Young, Technology Director at the MTC, will open the event, ahead of Professor Martin Freer, director of the Birmingham Energy Institute, taking to the stage to discuss the origins of the SMA project. The morning’s sessions will continue with keynote presentations and panel discussions hosted by senior representatives from the MTC.

After lunch, guests will be invited to attend interactive workshop sessions and to hear from technology partners on their involvement with the SMA and FIAB demonstrator, before taking part in tours of the FIAB – please note, only guests who have pre-registered their nationality details will be able to join an FIAB tour.
